Synthetic Reproduction, Life and Genosoftware for Algae Biofuel and Beyond!

August 30, 2010 at 3:48 am 2 comments

I was thrilled to see the hard working algae biofuel scientist at Synthetic Genomics have created the first synthetic computer programmed self generating life.  The research was done with the The J. Craig Venter Institute which is a non-profit genomics research institute. The Bios Collective thought we had accomplished something assembling a Self-Replicating Machine of the traditional variety but these guys are the real deal.  What is this new BioComputational Life Form? I love coming up with great new convoluted word to describe projects for this one I would love some help so I am open to suggestions.  I hope soon we can have  custom programmed algae strains for the photobioreactor sculpture.  I personally have been thinking alot about human procreation and this new technologies implications.  Geno Scriptors can stop designing custom panels and parametric massing and actually see there baby’s come to life!  Something to think about. Clean rooms can create the next immaculate conception! To help the idea I have drawn a few illustrative diagrams and artistic impressions. One is titled the Immucalute Conception.  The next is Ovatronics. The final is Joystick in the Cockpit.
